Jira

Best for: engineering teams using Atlassian Jira Cloud.

Connect Jira to bring issues straight into Edithly, generate implementation-focused visuals from them, and have a link shared back on the issue automatically.

What you can do

  • Browse projects and open issues inside Edithly
  • Pull issue details — title, description, subtasks — into a chat or visual
  • Generate Jira-style visuals: implementation specs, task breakdowns, and code-oriented summaries
  • Have Edithly post a comment on the issue with a shareable link once the visual is ready

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and choose Jira.
  2. Sign in with your normal Atlassian account and approve access.
  3. If you have access to multiple Jira sites, pick the one you use most.

You'll need permission to read issues and add comments on the projects you want to use.

Generate a visual from an issue

  1. Open the issue inside Edithly (or paste its link into a chat).
  2. Open the Visuals studio and pick Jira as the visual type — or let Edithly choose it for you.
  3. Confirm the credit cost and generate.

The finished visual appears under Your Artifacts, and a comment with its link is posted on the originating issue.

Example: connect Jira → open issue PROJ-123 → generate a Jira visual → the issue gets a comment with the visual link.

Switching sites

If you work across multiple Jira sites, open Settings → Integrations → Jira and re-select the site you want to use — Edithly only browses one site at a time.
