Chat with a YouTube video
Paste a YouTube link and ask Edithly anything about the video. Every answer shows which part of the video it came from.
Steps
- On the Edithly home page, click + in the box that says Ask anything, paste a URL, or attach a file…
- Click YouTube.
- Paste the video link, for example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSo_EIwHSd4. - Click Attach. Edithly opens a new chat for the video.
- Wait until you see Document uploaded and ready in the chat panel on the right.
- Type your question in the chat box and press Enter.
- Click References under the answer to see which parts of the video it used.
Good to know
- Processing takes a few minutes. While Edithly reads the video you'll see Preparing document…. You can leave the page and come back; the chat is saved under Chats.
- The video needs captions. Edithly reads the video's captions, so videos without captions can't be added.
- Chatting is free. Questions don't use credits. Only creating visuals does.
