Group chat

Each repository can have a group chat workspace at /groupchat/{repo_id} — a shared, real-time thread for everyone with access to that repository.

What it is​

Group chat combines:

  • Live messaging between team members
  • @edithly (or your configured AI agent) for AI responses in the thread
  • Access to the repository's shared documents and visuals from the surrounding workspace

Open it from the sidebar under a repo, or from the Group Chat Workspace link on the repository page.

Sending messages​

  • Type normally to message the group.
  • Type @ to mention a team member, document, or visual.
  • Mention Edithly to ask the AI a question in the context of the repository.

Messages sync in real time over WebSocket — you'll see typing indicators and streaming AI responses while the agent replies.

Notifications​

If someone @mentions you in group chat, you get an in-app notification (and a push notification if you've enabled them).
